4 more calendar pages

I'm getting closer! Just 5 left to go, unfortunately, I wanted to have them all done so I could order them tomorrow and it will be tough to get 5 done in one day, but, I'm gonna give it my best shot! It's pretty tough to work with so many pictures, even though digi does make it easier!
Thanks for looking!

A few Calendar Pages

If you have been visiting my blog over the past couple of years, you may remember that every Christmas I make my MIL a calendar. I am behind this year because we aren't celebrating Christmas until January 8th, so of course, I procrastinated! lol! Anyways, here are the first three pages I have finished for this year's calendar. I decided to do it digitally this year, which didn't make Randy happy at all, but since we now have nine grandkids, it's much easier to fit more pictures digitally than traditionally, it's a bit quicker, too, especially not having to clean up!
Anyways, thanks for looking and hopefully I will be back with more tomorrow!

A digital layout, NOT P365

Another monor miracle, a layout that is not P365, even if it is way over due! Used Connie Prince Made of Awesome which I got at gottapixel.net
This is definitely different for me, I don't work with blues all that much, but it's Brandon's favorite color, so I thought I would give it a shot, but of course, I had to add the pop of orange to brighten it up!
Thanks for looking have a fabulous weekend!

A REAL project!

Nope, your eyes are not playing tricks on you! This is an actual real true made-from-paper project! This is a birthday calendar, it's a prototype for what I plan to give as teacher's gifts this year. So, I guess you could say this one is mine. Yep, I'm very rusty, it doesn't look that great, but I think it's okay. I couldn't find any black ribbon for the top, which is kind of weird, and things are a little crooked here and there, but all in all, I think it will do! Thanks for looking & let me know what you think?

P365

Caught back up! I just might complete this project this year! Which would be amazing, since I did not completely finish it last year, it was close, but just not quite done!
Hopefully at some point, I will find my mojo and not only get the P365 layouts done, but maybe something more, too!
Hope to be back with another one next week! Thanks for looking!

Finally! Caught. up. Completely!

WooHoo! Finally all caught up! I've even finished this weeks! So super happy about that because I was starting to worry that I wouldn't finish this project, I get like that when I get behind sometimes!
As you can see, the page above is from Halloween week. I've been trying to do something special if there's a big holiday that week.
I forgot about Veteran's day when I chose the paper for this week, otherwise, I should have done something more patriotic. Ah well, I guess.
I'm still not doing great at taking a picture every single day, or even making up for the days I don't, but, you know, I'm okay with that! I will try to be better about it, but, I'm not going to stress about it.
So, it appears we have just 6 short weeks left of 2011. Seems like just yesterday I was starting this project for this year. I really can't believe how fast the time has gone.
I know I will not be posting anything next week most likely because of Thanksgiving, but I hope to stay caught up just the same!
Have a great Thanksgiving! And thanks for looking.

Two more P365's!

WooHoo!! Got two more layouts done! And I got them loaded in the right order, too!
Only 2 behind now!

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Three new P365 layouts

First of all, I can't believe I finally loaded these in the right order! I'm sure I will forget what I did by the next time I update my blog, but oh well!
Now I just wish I could figure out how to get the text above the first picture, that's kind of frustrating!
As you can see, I've still been pretty bad about getting the pictures taken, I hope I can fix that problem, sometimes, when you work at home and don't leave the house that often, it gets to be hard to find things to take pictures of. I admit, a lot of it's just plain laziness lately!
So, I think I'm only 5 weeks behind now, about to move into October. I'm thinking I might try to keep working on it this week, while I'm in the mode. But, you know, I've said that before! I am determined to complete this project this year, and if I could just get caught back up, I'm sure I could get it done completely by the first week of next year. We'll see, I guess.
Thanks for looking!

P365 but still way behind!!!

I was a little shocked earlier this week when I discovered that I was nearly 8 weeks behind on my P365 layouts! Not only that, I hadn't even organized my pictures for the project in a month! So, I got to work and got the organizing done and I did manage to get 2 layouts done, too! Just 6 more to go! lol! I'm hoping to get caught up next week, or the week after for sure! This is why I tried so hard not to fall behind all year, I knew it would be very tough to catch up! Not to mention, it's hard to remember that far back! I also have gotten very bad at even taking a picture every single day! Some days I don't take any, and other days (football days to be exact) I can take up to 400! Geesh! I also am usually good about taking pictures to fill in the gaps, but I haven't even been doing that!
But, that is what is so great about doing this project digitally, whether I have 7 pictures or just one, it still all fits perfectly on one layout! No more gaps! Sweet!
Anyways, here are the two pages I got done today!
Do you think flowers & flourishes are at home on the same page as football pictures? Ah well!
Thanks for looking!

Week 34

I am so behind on this project! Almost 4 weeks, actually! I'm not sure where my mojo went, but I forced myself to at least do one layout today! I'm sure that's all I will get done this week, but, it's better than nothing!

Weeks 31, 32 &33 finally!

Well, wouldn't you know that I didn't get them loaded in the right order, that's what happens when I don't post enough! So anyways, I'm only one week behind now! LOL! Main kit is Crazy Little Thing by BellaGypsy from gottapixel.net

As always, thanks for looking and I hope to be back sooner than last time! LOL!

P365 week 28 & 4th of July

Here is last weeks P365, the kit I used was mainly Atomic Cool by BellaGypsy from gottapixel.net I'm caught up! WooHoo!
Below is the first 4th of July layout I've done in a very long time, maybe ever! that's why I love digital, if the pictures strike me, I can make a quick layout! Love it! I used Stars & Stripes by Lindsey Jane from gottapixel.net and the layout is loosely based on a sketch from pagemaps.com I hardly ever use sketches, not sure why! But something about that sketch spoke to me and I thought of these pics right away!
As always, thanks for looking!

Family

Hal of my family is always relunctant to take a picture, but after some pouting about the subject, the relented and let my SIL take this picture of us on the deck of our vacation house in South Dakota! I really love this picture!
I used orange crush by Lindsay Jane from gottapixel.net the grey base is from somewhere else, but I can't remember where, sorry!
Just for the record, I am 5'7" and my little Brandon is not yet 10yrs old! Yep, I will very soon be the shortest person in my family!
Thanks for looking!

Maybe I'm getting my mojo back!?

Not sure what got into me, but I decided I really need to be scrapping, so I used nearly every spare moment today doing some digi!
I really love this picture my sister-in-law took of me & Brandon while we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago! He is such a good sport, the rest of my family would not get in the picture (we were at MT. Rushmore and the people were annoying them. lol.) anyways, Brandon was the one who put his arms around me to pose, and I just love that! Anyways, the above page is for the family book, I used Spring Dreams by Isabelle Mendez, which I got from gottapixel.net I just love this kit and her designs in general, even though it isn't my usual style!
The layout below is for Brandon's book and I wanted it to be a little different and not so dreamy, I guess. I used the kit Over the Rainbow by Lindsay Jane, also from gottapixel.net The colors are so bright and wonderful!
I have had both those kits for quite awhile, so I'm glad I used them today!
Thanks so much for looking, and who knows? Maybe I will be back with some more tomorrow!

Finally caught up!

After being consistently behind for 1-2 weeks, I have finally caught up on P365! Above is week 27. I veered from my usual pattern of doing 4 layouts with the same paper theme, I decided to do a special theme for the 4th of July. I used stars & stripes by Lindsay Jane from gottapixel.net
Below is week 26. I used Atomic Cool by Bella Gypsy from gottapixel.net. On both of them, I used a few bits & pieces from other kits as well, but the majority is from the kits listed.
I'm thinking I should be able to get next weeks done, but then I will fall behind again because of 4-H fair, but a couple of weeks isn't too bad!
Thanks for looking!

1/2 way layout & P365

The girls form the P365 group decided to do a layout to celebrate the halfway point of the year, everyone contributed an idea to form the layout, stripes, bullet journaling, pink, purple & green color scheme, the number & size of the pics, the banner title, lowercase, etc. this is mine. I did it traditionally, which was nice, used 4 cricut cartridges, which was awesome too, since I haven't been using my cricut near enough!
These next 2 layout are out of order, guess I forgot how to run blogger, oh well! I am still behind a couple of weeks, but I'm hoping to get caught up this week! so, hopefully this won't be my only post this week

As always, thanks for looking & I love your comments!

Finally caught back up!

Alright, so I let myself get a couple of weeks behind on my P365, but I am caught up now! Last week was crazy since our little town flooded & I just didn't have the time to get it done. as for this week, well, I was just a little lazy! I'm a little frustrated I still can't get things to post the way I want to here!
Thanks for looking! Hopefully I will be back next week & won't get behind again!

My own memory mate & P365

Okay, I need some serious advice: what do you all think of the above? I took Brandon's team pictures the other night and thought I might make my own memory mates instead of using a template. If you were a parent who ordered one, would you be happy with this? I made a few small changes after I printed it out, but nothing major. I used Batter batter swing by Connie Prince from gottapixel.net
And below is week 18 P365, used all the same kits I've been using all along!
As always, thanks for looking!

last of Easter 2011

So, I managed to finish a couple more layouts to upload for the Persnickety sale! these are the last of Easter this year, which is very exciting to me, because I haven't scrapped Easter 2009 or 2010 yet! Anyways, blogger still won't let me type where I want to for some reason so the above layout is for the family book. I used Bloom and Grow by Lindsay Jane from gottapixel.net I used the kit for both layouts. Tell me what you think of the first one? Is it funky? I think I like it!
The layout below is for Brandon's book.
I have a feeling I'm done for the week, I just don't have any more ideas to scrap right now, so I guess I will be happy with uploading 18 layouts to Persnickety tomorrow! YAY!

P365 & Easter

I have been having the hardest time with blogger lately, either I can't type where I want to, it underlines when I don't want it to, or I can't get it to post! I've never had so many problems! Anyways, above is last weeks P365 layout (week 17) I used the big Jan. kit from scraporchard.com as well as the capturing day by day kit by Isabelle Mendez from gottapixel.net The same kits I've been using all along, but I love that there are so many elements it's easy to mix them all up!
And below is my first Easter layout this year, this one is for Randy's book, I think the kit is Bloom & Grow by Lindsay Jane from gottapixel.net
Persinickety prints is having a print sale starting this Friday May 6th, to celebrate NSD! I am excited to print as now I am up to 16 (hoping to have a few more by then, too) and I have a nice credit to my account thanks to a very dear friend! (thanks again, Tammy!)
I've been doing a good job getting pages done & printed, but I still haven't mastered the skill of actually getting the pages into books! I am so so bad at that! I have literally hundreds of pages scrapped but not put away! Part of it is they may not all be in order, part of it is trying to figure out what kind of book to put them in and part of it is trying to figure out how to seperate them, by year? (2010- this is what I will do for the family book) or by grade?(Freshman/Sophomore I think this is what I will do for the boys, but then where does the summer fall? with the previous grade or the following grade?) Geesh, I guess I've got issues! LOL! Got any suggestions?
