a few more...

So, these 3 layouts make 10 this week! woohoo! I am so excited about what I'm getting done! Not sure my checkbook can afford printing that often, though! LOL!
All three pages also use the same kit, pedal pusher by connie prince from gottapixel.net
For Brandon's book: Randy's book: The stitched frame is from the kit watch me shine by litabells designs. I got the kit from gottapixel but she doesn't have a store there any more. Can't remember where I got the swirls, sorry! I messed with the opacity on both the swirls & the frame on this one.

Family book. this is what the swirls actually look like.

I found some really cute fire kits, but decided to just use what I have, they made very simple pages, but that's okay on these I think. And hey, that's what my traditional pages ALWAYS look like!
Thanks for looking and have a fantastic weekend!

birthdays

I decided I need to kick it into gear to try and have 11 layouts to upload by early next week so I can take advantage of the sale at pernickety prints, so today I was able to do 3. They are all pretty simple,
This is for Brandon's book: For the family book: This one is way too simple, but oh well!
And a made one of Randy's birthday for the family book. I was going to use pics from his birthday party, but since everyone was too busy to get together for his birthday, well, this is what I have. Kind of sad, actually.

All the pages used the kit Celebrate Him by Connie Prince and the first one also uses a page border 2 from Lindsay Jane, both can be found at gottapixel.net

This makes 10!

So, I'm off to upload my 10 layouts for printing!

This is Wade, the same little one in the layout from yesterday, in this one he is about 6 months old, this was August...

I used the kit Brothers by Connie Prince which can be found at gottapixel.net
As always, thanks for looking!

random digis

Today is Randy's 16th birthday. This makes me sad! We aren't really doing anything to celebrate today, I will make him his requested dinner (chicken alfredo) and some brownies. We will actually all have dinner together as practice is right after school. Our schedules are so busy and crazy, we haven't found the time to fit in a party just yet, but we will! I decided to make him a card though, I did another mini digi! I should have used my cricut, as he hasn't embraced the digi-ness yet, but oh well!
I used gotta grunge papers for the background, I'm pretty sure I got this from gottapixel.net
pig party by trixiescraps, also from gottapixel.net for all of the embellies and the alpha He wasn't happy about me taking his pic for my POTD this morning. This is what I got: But, I decided to make a layout anyways!
I used 2 kits, both by Connie Prince, both from gottapixel.net
Alpha is Pedal Pusher
the rest is Celebrate Him

When I said I was done with Christmas, I forgot about the christmas programs! These are events I don't enjoy scrapping. At all. Not really sure why, the pics are too busy I think. anyways, it was easy this time, doing it digitally. I used freebies that I got on a pre-Christmas blog hop that my friend, Pam, was a participating designer. The alphabet was a free daily download earlier this month from, guess where? gottapixel.net
Same goes for this layout...

As always, thanks so much for looking!

courage, digi...

Well, this one's a little personal, and I hesitated to post it, but what the heck, I guess...
Like many people at the beginning of the year, I'm finding myself thinking about a lot of things in my life. Despite a fun back and forth with a long time internet friend, I kind of had a rough day yesterday and the hangover from that today is what brought this page about.
The size is a little different, it's 11x8 1/2. I'm not sure I will ever print this one, but if I do, I plan on putting it in a book along with others that aren't meant to be seen by everyone. I have a very cool K&co book that a friend gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and this is what I've always had in mind for it. I haven't done a single one yet.
I know some of the elements seem a little tough to see, but because of the nature of the layout, I'm okay with that. I combined 2 kits on this one. The designers at gottapixel.net often all do their own kits using the same color schemes so they go well together. the 2 kits I used are:
The beautiful life by A+ Designs
This one life by Connie Prince

Christmas digi

Again, I love the instant gratification of digi scrapping. Hey! I've barely scrapped LAST Christmas traditionally and here I am, nearly done with this Christmas! LOVE it!
These pages are made mostly with the daily download from gottapixel.net and the best part is, the daily download is FREE! So definitley check that out! Now, I must admit that I have a subscription, so I am able to download the whole month in just a couple of downloads instead of getting a couple of pieces a day, but either way, it's a bargain and December's kit was AWESOME! Sometimes I don't care for them and I just don't download, but I really liked this one! The alphabets were not included, they are from a couple of different kits I have from Connie Prince, but I can't remember for sure, sorry about that!
So anyways, these first 2 pages are for Randy:

For Brandon:

For the family book:

I have ideas for about 4 more pages for the holidays and then they will be done! I am so excited! And since I got some Christmas money I plan to get my pages printed at persnickety prints very very soon!
Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Year!

Gingerbread digi

Last week a post an adorable picture of my little man when we did gingerbread houses at school. Of course, I couldn't wait to make a layout, and the quickest way to do that is digi of course! I started it right away last week, but just got a few minutes to finish it today! this is a 2 pager (wish i knew how to post them next to each other, I'll have to work on that!) anyways, it's for B's book, don't know if I will make one for the family book yet. Oh, heck, you know I probably will, how can I know with such a great picture?!
Used the Sugar Plum kit by Connie Prince, which I got from gottapixel.net
Thanks for looking!

moving on...

I guess since I'm done with Halloween and pumpkins, I'll scrap our first real snow storm this year, which we are still in the middle of!
Kit is Warm Wishes by Isabelle Mendez, which I got on a sale at gottapixel.net and also a few freebies I picked up from a bloghop a few weeks ago. Main paper is from Connie Prince. I had my first 10 layouts printed at Persnickety Prints. I have to say, I am very impressed with how they came out, though everything is quite a bit bigger than I pictured it! Funny how different things can look on the computer screen! LOL! the quality of the prints is awesome, I will definitely be doing that again!

some more, Halloween

I can't believe I already have this years Halloween pictures scrapped! That is insane! I really never thought I would embrace digital scrapbooking! But, I seriously cannot believe how easy it is! And quick!
So, I should probably be mentioning where I am getting the digi items I am using. These 2 pages were done using Carving up some fun kit by trixie scraps which I bought at gottapixel.net
Now that I really look at this first one, I wish I would have cropped the gray cardstock differently, but, I'm not going to change it now!
The 2 layouts I posted the other day were done using the license to drive kit by Connie Prince which I also bought at gottapixel.net There are some really great designers and kits for sale over there. Sometimes they run some awesome deals, which they did this past weekend and I picked a lot of these kits up really cheap!
And just to keep myself in reality, I did do a traditional paper layout today, but, as usual, I have not taken a picture yet, along with the last 5-6 I made awhile ago! I hope to do that in the next couple of days!
I plan to have my digital layouts printed at some point and then add them to my scrapbooks like a traditonal paper layout!
Oh, I am also finding that I am making more one pagers than my normal 2 page layouts, I think it's because I can resize the pictures so easily to fit them how I like on the page. This digital stuff is so interesting!
As always, thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!
