Flat me's!!
I am finally getting this picture taken, I'm only a few days late! I have been participating in a great project this year called P365 or Picture of the day or Project Life. It goes by many names. I have also been participating in a thread about this subject on the Cricut MB. We are now half way through the year, and to celebrate, we decided to exchange flat me's, it was a fun project! So Left to right, top to bottom: Carol, me, Amy (she's not chubby, she's preggers), Mandy and baby Braedan, Jennifer, Pam, Debbie, debbieb, Lorrie, Bridget, Aprile and Val! What a great group of ladies, thanks for welcoming me in!
On a very sad note, a good friend of my son (Randy) passed away on Saturday. It was not unexpected, he had CP and had been steadily getting worse, he decided that he had had enough of the endless surgeries and recoveries and just "wanted to go home". Even though his disease was severe, he had a special love for horses and was happiest when he was riding. I asked Randy what Garrett's favorite color was, he said yellow. Then he said Garrett was colorblind, but he always said yellow if you asked him. That made me smile a little. So a special card for Garrett's grandparents who raised him and took care of him. There is a special place in Heaven for them.

finally posting pics of me!
Alright, I am finally going to post some pics of me, since I have been maintaining my weight now for 3 months.
So here is my current pic, taken a couple of weeks ago, when I first look at it, I still see my thunder thighs especially, but in reality, I just don't have a perfect body, and I think it's as good as it's going to get. Just to remind, I went from 223 lbs to about 153 ( I go up and down from from 151 to 155), I wore a size 18 jean and now, size 8!
This was me in November, I had lost 47 lbs at that point.

A couple projects
As usual, I am far behind on posting my projects! I forgot to take pictures of some! But, I have done a couple of unique things in the past weeks!
I cut these from reflective strips that Clinton had, this is the logo for the company he works for, he wanted them for his hard hat as they have to have so many square inches of reflective. Anyways, I used SCAL along with inkscape to accomplish this. He was THRILLED with it, and that takes a lot for him!

This was a card for a cousins 8th grade graduation.
This is a piggy bank I made for my neices baby shower. Down the side I used the new Cindy Loo cartridge.

This is the front of the piggy bank. I used SCAL for this part. Both the lavendar and the brown are cricut vinyl. I really love how this project turned out, so there will be many more of these in the future! I'm thinking Christmas for my daycare kids and probably every baby gift I need for awhile! heehee!

I did get Randy to take some updated pics of me the other day, hopefully I will get them on here in the next few days!

A few new cards and layouts
I don't know why it always takes me so long to take the pictures of some of my projects so that I can get them posted on here in a timely manner! The cards in this post I actually just made and managed to take pictures of them, only because I was making them for mother's day. I did forget to take a picture of one, oh well!
This one was for my SIL Lissa, I used Lyrical letters
I almost forgot about these pictures. This is for the family album
Randy's book, very plain page.

For my MIL, I used gypsy font, A child's year and Joys of the season.

For one of Clinton's grandmas, I used wildcard and Sentimentals. Sentimentals is one of the few cartridges that I have bought that I truly have no idea why, because it is so not my style. At all. But, I do like this butterfly. A lot. Hmm, well maybe that is why I bought it. Certainly not enough to justify the cartridge, but I do really like this card!
So, I have decided to start over on the cartridge challenge. I have until Sept. 15. I have bought 2 new cartridges, and I suspect I will get a few more before the challenge is over since I have not banned myself from buying this time. So, right now, I have 48 cartridges and I have used 9. Not too bad! I have also joined a challenge to complete 10 pages a month, I think I have done 6 this month but I am not showing most of them because they are as simple as putting a certificate on a piece of cardstock, but they are finished pages of a book, so that definitely counts for me!

Well, thanks for looking, hopefully it won't take me so long to update again!

cartridge challenge *COMPLETE*
WooHoo! Happy Tax Day, everyone! Yeah right, I know! It also happens to be the final day of the cricut cartridge/stash challenge, and I am happy to say that I have completed the challenge! I also did not buy any new cartrdiges during the challenge, which was my own little twist! So here are a few pages and a couple of cards:
For Brandon:
Used Jasmine on shadow for this one, it beef's up the letters a bit and makes them much easier to cut. It really is a great font.
For the family book:
Used opposites attract. Another great font that I don't use enough!
For Brandon:

A card for my new neice, her daddy really loves all things hunting and fishing! I used 4 different cartridges on this one! Can anyone name them all?

Sorry for the bad picture, I really need to find a good spot to take pictures.

And a birthday card that I think I might send to Clinton's grandma whose birthday I missed a couple of weeks ago! OOPS! I really like this one. I used the same papers I used a couple months ago on a bunch of cards, which is great, I took them right out of my scrap drawer! The cute dragonfly is from Pooh & Friends. The tag is a nestie that my dear friend Tammy sent me for my birthday! Thanks Tammy!

Again, another bad picture!
I thought I would give a little update on the WW thing. I am in maintenance, have been for a few weeks, and things seem to be going just fine. I finally got some great new clothes so I will get on of the boys to take a new picture of me here one of these days!

As always, thanks for looking!

3 cards and 3 pages
Geesh, it's been a couple of weeks again already! I'm just so bad about getting the pictures taken, which is weird since I usually take at least one picture everyday.
So, anyways, in my quest to use my stash and all of my cartridges, I have actually been making quite a few cards, which isn't my strong suit with the cricut. I don't really LOVE any one of the cards, but I think they are OK. I am just 7 cartridges away from finishing the challenge, which had a due date of April 15th (tax day) I'm not sure I'll make the due date, but I will finish the challenge. I also said I wouldn't buy a new cartridge until I used every one I had, and I've stuck to that, but there are a couple that I really want, so I will definitely finish before too long so that I can start picking them up!
This one I used A Childs Year (which I've already used in the challenge) for the background scallop, which I love. Beyond Birthdays for the sentiment. I wish my orange stickles would have went on smoother, but the texture on the paper messed me up. That, and I guess I need a steadier hand!
I actually really like this one, which I mostly scraplifted from the Cricut MB. I used Wild card for the card base, George for the white circle and Indie Art for the butterfly. I also used my cuttlebug, I always forget to use that thing, and it's such a great tool. The "bling" (Randy always laughs when I use that word), is from my stash, I've had them forever, got a bazillion of them from Oriental Trading. They aren't sticky, so I glued them using MS glue, I'm not sure how they would hold up in the mail...
