Again, I love the instant gratification of digi scrapping. Hey! I've barely scrapped LAST Christmas traditionally and here I am, nearly done with this Christmas! LOVE it!
These pages are made mostly with the daily download from gottapixel.net and the best part is, the daily download is FREE! So definitley check that out! Now, I must admit that I have a subscription, so I am able to download the whole month in just a couple of downloads instead of getting a couple of pieces a day, but either way, it's a bargain and December's kit was AWESOME! Sometimes I don't care for them and I just don't download, but I really liked this one! The alphabets were not included, they are from a couple of different kits I have from Connie Prince, but I can't remember for sure, sorry about that!
So anyways, these first 2 pages are for Randy:

Calendar
Some of you know that every year I make my MIL a calendar for Christmas, it's quite a job and now that there are 8 grandkids, it's even tougher to collect all those pictures! Every year, I swear I'm going to do it each month and be done, but every year on Dec. 23 I am scrambling to finish it! this year was no exception, but I managed to get it done!
I gave myself the goal of using a different cricut font cartridge on each month and I actually just went right down the list on my gypsy, though you can't tell that since I didn't do the months in order! It's hard to think of something different for each month when there are so many pictures!

As always, thanks for looking and if I don't get back here before Jan. 1, I am wishing you all a very safe and happy 2011!

A few recent projects
I thought I would upload a few of my recent projects, only one of which is a layout of any kind! LOL!
This is a digi layout using the kit Slam Dunk by Lindsay Jane which I got from gottapixel.net it is for Randy's book. I had done the layout itself a few weeks ago, but didn't have a picture yet, so I finally got a decent picture the other night and finished it up! My SIL asked me to make a couple of penny banks for her God daughters for Christmas:
This was for our SS exchange in the P365 group. I hope Debbie liked it!
These were teacher gifts for Branodn's title and student teacher.
This is a detail shot of a tissue box cover (these are really fun! Thanks to Aprile for the link of the directions!)
This is the teacher's gift for Brandon's teacher, the tissue box cover and the altered frap bottle with M&M's, hope she likes it, but then, who doesn't like M&M's right?
Well, that's all I've got this time. I am working on the calendar for my MIL, hopefully I will get it done in time to take pictures of it! LOL! If I do, I will get it posted next week sometime.

Gingerbread digi
Last week a post an adorable picture of my little man when we did gingerbread houses at school. Of course, I couldn't wait to make a layout, and the quickest way to do that is digi of course! I started it right away last week, but just got a few minutes to finish it today! this is a 2 pager (wish i knew how to post them next to each other, I'll have to work on that!) anyways, it's for B's book, don't know if I will make one for the family book yet. Oh, heck, you know I probably will, how can I know with such a great picture?!
Thanks for looking!

Some random pics!
Randy made a varsity tip-off tourney team, which was awesome! they traveled nearly 3 hours for the tourney. On Friday night (we didn't go), he played in every quarter, scored 4 points and had several rebounds. got his name in the paper, even! Very cool! So, Saturday, we decided to go watch, and of course, he did not get to play! But I was still really glad we went! The town where the tourney was held is one of the gateways to Yellowstone, so we saw plenty of wild life, several cow elk, buffalo and big horn sheep, which I have never seen in person. This male was right on the side of the road! I was so excited!

A few traditional layouts
Here are a few traditional layouts that I have done somewhat recently. I admit, that most of them were done before I learned digital! But, I still have lots of pictures that I've already printed so I will definitely be scrapping those the traditional way!

gingerbread houses
Every year at our school the 3rd graders get to build gingerbread houses. I still remember going to help Randy decorate, that was 7 years ago, now! But, this post is all about Brandon! I loved that I was able to work my schedule so I could go up and help him. I just don't get to go to many things that involve school. He was excited and I was super excited!
Here is his finished house, we had such a good time together!

Thanksgiving
Here's a 2-pager that I just did of our Thanksgiving. Like I've said before, I cannot believe that I am scrapping current! It's insane! I know these aren't really pretty layouts, not what you would see in galleries, certainly not works of art, but this is our life!
I used the kit falling by litabellscraps from gottapixel.net but, unfortunately she is no longer designing and her store there is closed, but I still wanted to give credit. This was in the very first set of kits that I ever bought, I got it for $2. Another thing to love about digi scrapping, the kits are often a huge bargain, you can use the elements over and over again and lets not forget that it's instant gratification when you get to download it right to your computer, don't have to pay shipping or wait for it to come, or go to the store (I haven't been to a scrap store since May, not because I don't want to, though!)
Anyways, this is for the family book, I will probably only make this one set, not one for each book.

moving on...
I guess since I'm done with Halloween and pumpkins, I'll scrap our first real snow storm this year, which we are still in the middle of!
Kit is Warm Wishes by Isabelle Mendez, which I got on a sale at gottapixel.net and also a few freebies I picked up from a bloghop a few weeks ago. Main paper is from Connie Prince. I had my first 10 layouts printed at Persnickety Prints. I have to say, I am very impressed with how they came out, though everything is quite a bit bigger than I pictured it! Funny how different things can look on the computer screen! LOL! the quality of the prints is awesome, I will definitely be doing that again!

more digi layouts
This is a 2 pager, I have no idea how to post them right next to each other! this is for Brandon's book. Using Carving up fun kit by Trixiescraps (again! Do you think I got my money's worth on that kit? I sure do!) which I got from gottapixel.net if you love digi scrapping you should really check out the store at gottapixel.net there are amazing designers and fabulous products!
It was asked if I make different layouts of the same event, and the answer is yes, I do. This is something I have done for the past several years with my traditional scrapping, that way each book has the same event, but slightly different look. And I often use different pictures if I have enough, so these 2 pages are for Brandon and he's in them all, then when I do Randy's, he will be in them all and then when I do for the family, there will be a mix of both. I know, this is time consuming, and especially with digi, it would be easier just to print the same layout a couple of times, but, I just like making something special for each book. this is probably why I am so very far behind and will never be caught up! But, that's okay!

I hope to get several layoust done this week and get them posted. That's another definite upside to digi, it's already on my computer, so I don't have to worry about getting a picture, getting it uploaded, resizing, etc....
Thanks for looking!

some more, Halloween
I can't believe I already have this years Halloween pictures scrapped! That is insane! I really never thought I would embrace digital scrapbooking! But, I seriously cannot believe how easy it is! And quick!
So, I should probably be mentioning where I am getting the digi items I am using. These 2 pages were done using Carving up some fun kit by trixie scraps which I bought at gottapixel.net
Now that I really look at this first one, I wish I would have cropped the gray cardstock differently, but, I'm not going to change it now!

The 2 layouts I posted the other day were done using the license to drive kit by Connie Prince which I also bought at gottapixel.net There are some really great designers and kits for sale over there. Sometimes they run some awesome deals, which they did this past weekend and I picked a lot of these kits up really cheap!
And just to keep myself in reality, I did do a traditional paper layout today, but, as usual, I have not taken a picture yet, along with the last 5-6 I made awhile ago! I hope to do that in the next couple of days!
I plan to have my digital layouts printed at some point and then add them to my scrapbooks like a traditonal paper layout!
Oh, I am also finding that I am making more one pagers than my normal 2 page layouts, I think it's because I can resize the pictures so easily to fit them how I like on the page. This digital stuff is so interesting!
As always, thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!
